Howdy Strangers!

Time sure flies when you're busy as a beaver, so I'm surprised to see it's been a couple months since I've checked in hereabouts. Books, children's readers / e-readers, advertising work (print and online), a greeting card, multiple coloring and activity pages, a few book covers, and a couple of plain old magazine illustrations are the types of jobs I've been busy with since late November. Since most of them are not available to the public yet (there's always a lag of a few weeks to 6 months or more before they are released /published / made available), here's a look at a few that I can show you.

Some are just cropped details from larger images, others are from larger sets of illustrations.

Hopefully it won't be too long before I can post the full info on all of them.

In the meantime, the pre-order listing for the next Joey Green book (profusely illustrated by your's truly!) is up now - click the pic to go to the Amazon.com listing. Catch you on the flippity flop!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Wow! Usually December is a quiet month work-wise but I'm scrambling to keep up with old and new clients coming out of the woodwork. Lot's of coloring / activity pages for numerous clients, some more comic-style ads, a book, book covers, advertising work and more. Here's some recently completed samples... from the next Yikes magazine above, and a sneak preview of one of the dozen of illustrations for the next Joey Green book below.

So here's hoping the rest of you get some time off and have a safe holiday season!

Yikes Indeed!

Here are a couple of the three illustrations of mine appearing in the latest issue of Yikes magazine for teens. I can now add spit and stinky feet to the list of body fluids, smells and other related items that I'd never before drawn professionally. Previous listees for Yikes include flatulence, burps and menstrual pads. Only a few more to go and the list is complete!

Neato Ghouly Contest Winners!

Well, the results are in for the winners of two of my prints (and a bunch of other great stuff too!) in the Neato Ghouly contest! Watch the Vlad vid for all the details!

Thanks to Mayor Todd Franklin from the always awesome Neato Coolville / Ghoulville, and also to the scarily talented Vlad for making it possible. And congratulation to the three winners!

If you're in the Victoria area and missed my appearance at last weekend's Ultimate Toy and Hobby show don't despair, you'll have another chance on October 27th and 28th at the 3rd annual "Vancouver Island's Most Amazing Comic (or "Collectables", depending on which poster you look at) Show".

This is the biggest comic book event on the Island and will feature comic book and graphic novel artists, writers other visual folks (like me) attending as special guests. Simpsons / Futurama comics writer Ian Boothby, Pina Guerra, cartoonist extraordinaire Nelson Dewey, Ken Steacy, Joan Steacy, Star Wars comic's Janine Johnson and others will be in attendance signing and showing off their work.

Oh, and there will be tons of other collectables as well as truckloads of comics dealers selling their pulpy wares.

I'm a late addition to the show, so I didn't make the poster (above) , but my info should be up on the website soon. Hope to see you there!

Sneak Peek!

Hey everybody... at tomorrow's Ultimate Toy and Hobby Fair in Victoria B.C. I'll debut the first of my new Art Cards, small baseball card-sized original paintings available to take home for an affordable price. I had a lot of of fun, and learned a lot from doing these over the last couple days. It's great to get the gouache paints out again and am looking forward to working on a few more tomorrow at the show.

I'll also be showing and selling my brand-new oversized prints on Sunday, something I've had in the works for a year now. The first batch are themed versions of some existing smaller prints that I've always wanted to do larger. In fact, they work much better at 13" x 19" (or thereabouts) than they do at 8" x 10". By popular demand I'll have for sale oversized copies of my "45 Adaptor" photographic print that has made the rounds of the internet over the last few years.  All these prints are on museum quality, acid-free heavy paper, or rag and the quality is really amazing! I can't wait to concentrate more on new prints as soon as possible.

For everyone who can't make this awesome show (sort of a cross between a collectable toy show and a comic-con) look for these these and more at the newly revamped GlenMullaly.com online store to be unveiled later this week. See you in person or online!
