FREE STUFF!

Joey Green's Amazing Pets Cures hit the stores across North America this week with 44 boffo black & white illustrations from yours truly, Mama Mullaly's little bundle of doodlin' joy!

The publisher blurbs the book thusly: "From the man who knows how to fertilize houseplants with Jell-O and give someone a dry shampoo with Quaker Oats comes the first book of pet care tips that tackles everyday pet illnesses, quirky behaviors, and animal smells and stains by tapping into the power of brand-name products."

But I'll tempt your palette with a patented two-part method. Part 1: By showing you some of the aforementioned illustriously illuminative illustrations. It was a lot of fun getting to work in black and white again for these small spot pieces. The majority of the work that I did for the first fifteen years of my career was in B&W, but it's been a long time since I've last done a job without colour.

And Part 2? My first contest with an actual prize! Yes indeedy folks, I will mail a copy of this swell (but goofy) book (retail value $17.99 U.S. /$19.99 Can) to the winning entrant who leaves a comment on this post before date of contest close (winning name to be randomly drawn from a fez at the stroke of 2:36pm PST on the day that I get my copies from the fine folks at Rodale.)

This contest is open to all readers of this blog (anywhere that I can ship to!), pet owners or not. Employees of Glen Mullaly Worldwide Heavy Industries Consolidated Limited Incorporated PTY LLC PDF BFF and their families are eligible to enter as well, but probably wouldn't want to 'cause they see enough of my goofy scribblings anyway and when's that guy gonna get a real job anyway hey didn't he borrow my hedge clippers last summer and not return them that lousy ingrate!

So leave a comment to enter, and check back over the next couple of weeks for the announcement of the winner. Good Luck!

  2. Thanks Jeff! You know you didn't have to compliment me to enter the contest?

    But it doesn't hurt!

  3. Looks Great, Glen. Did you do the work in Illustrator or is all the inking by hand?

  4. Thanks Chris, I've never used Illustrator. I pencil and ink on paper completely by hand. Then I usually colour in Photoshop, although every once in a blue moon when the deadline and budget allows I still color by hand.
